The episode begins with Shiv and Parvati showing affection to Kartikeya, sitting between them. Meanwhile, an intoxicated Nishumbh complains to the asura godmother, Diti, about her husband, Rishi Kashyap, staying with her rival, Aditi. He mentions how she prays to Shiv, but never receives blessings for a complete family like Shiv enjoys with his wife and son. Shumbh interrupts and drags Nishumbh away, but Nishumbh continues laughing and taunting Diti. Feeling incomplete compared to Shiv’s family, Diti vows to make Shiv’s family incomplete as well.
Shiv becomes tense upon hearing this. Parvati notices and asks him what’s wrong. Shiv brushes it off, saying nothing can bother him when his wife and son are with him. He then asks Kartikeya whom he admires the most, to which Kartikeya responds that he admires his worship-worthy Shiv and his father.
Diti meets Shanidev and tries to instigate him against Shiv, claiming that Shiv receives all the attention and prayers from the world while Shanidev is neglected. However, Shanidev refuses to believe her and asks her why she’s come to him. Nishumbh joins in, stating that even Shankchurn receives more respect than Shanidev, and nobody respects him. Diti provokes Shanidev to use his inauspicious gaze on Shiv to disrupt his family life. Shiv warns Diti against acting hastily for revenge. Despite Shiv’s warning, Shanidev agrees to help Diti.
