The story begins with Diti trying to make Shanidev angry. She tells him that even though he’s worked hard to get where he is, nobody respects him. Nishumbh agrees with her, saying that despite being the son of a powerful father, nobody worships Shanidev like they do Lord Shiva. They keep trying to make Shanidev upset.
Meanwhile, Parvati asks Shiva to help her make a dessert called kheer. Shiva agrees and also sends Kartikeya to invite demons for a big feast, while he himself invites the gods. Shanidev watches all of this. Diti praises Shiva’s family, saying they are happy and prosperous, while Shanidev is ignored. She claims to be Shanidev’s aunt and says she supports him. Shanidev gets influenced by her words and decides to harm Shiva’s family. But Shukracharya, a wise advisor, warns him not to, because Shiva has the power to destroy Shanidev with his third eye. However, Shanidev doesn’t listen.
Shukracharya tells Shanidev to accept Kartikeya’s invitation to the feast and not cause any trouble. When Kartikeya comes to invite Shanidev, Shanidev tries to make him angry by saying Shiva prevented him from becoming the king of gods and that Kartikeya is just a servant. But Kartikeya stands up for himself and tries to leave. Shanidev uses his powers to hypnotize Kartikeya. Shiva notices this and becomes worried.
