The episode commences with Imlie serving dinner to the Chaudhrys. Govind commends the taste, and Manno reveals that Jugnu prepared the food. Imlie then serves laddu to Agastya, who reminisces about Meera serving him similar sweets in his childhood. When Daadi inquires about the cook, Agastya attributes it to Meera, citing its resemblance to his childhood taste. Alka berates Imlie for allowing her aunt into the kitchen, accusing her of ruining it. Alka then begins to criticize Meera’s character, prompting Imlie to defend Meera by revealing her past loyalty working at a bar. Alka generalizes bar girls as home-wreckers, but Imlie counters by sharing her own past, emphasizing the respect she received from the Chaudhry family.
In response to Alka’s accusations, Agastya warns her to watch her words and refrain from speaking ill of Imlie. Alka implies that Agastya supports Imlie due to their shared questionable background, alleging a fake marriage. Daadi intervenes, warning Alka against using such words in their house. Despite Daadi’s warning, Alka persists, prompting Agastya to leave. Meera follows him, expressing concern for the humiliation he may face because of her. Agastya asserts that Imlie is determined to help her aunt, but her aunt’s actions are negatively impacting Imlie’s life. He suggests that Meera distance herself from Imlie as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Sonali, Karan, Bulbul, and Amar visit the police station to obtain information on Singh Sweet Factory’s case. The inspector dismisses their request, citing the old age of the case. Sonali decides to check the record room, and, while Bulbul pretends to beat Karan to divert the police’s attention, Sonali and Amar enter the record room to search for the relevant files. As they locate the file, Vishwa is informed about their presence, and he enters the record room with a gun. Sonali and Amar attempt to hide, and in the process, Amar pretends to be heavily intoxicated to distract Vishwa and the inspector. They manage to escape the record room.
Back at the Chaudhry residence, Imlie and Agastya separately reflect on Alka’s harsh words. Imlie, sitting in the backyard, begins to create a theatrical scenario, claiming to have dreamt of a hero and ending up with Agastya instead. She continues her monologue, eventually kneeling down and proposing to Agastya with a ring.
