The scene unfolds with Parvati attempting to serve food to Kartikeya, only to be met with his angry refusal. Concerned, Parvati remarks on the excessive anger displayed by Kartikeya, cautioning him about its detrimental effects. In response, Kartikeya bitterly questions Parvati’s maternal instincts, accusing her of disapproving of his love. Shiv intervenes, urging Parvati to remain composed.
Expressing his frustration, Kartikeya criticizes his parents for their apparent inability to comprehend his feelings, asserting that they lack an understanding of true love. Shiv, however, asserts that as embodiments of love themselves, they are well acquainted with its essence. Undeterred, Kartikeya vows to prove their ignorance of love.
Amidst the exchange, Laxmi voices her disagreement with Kartikeya’s stance, while Narayan acknowledges the challenges facing Shiv’s family. Narad warns Kartikeya of the repercussions of questioning Shiv and Parvati’s love, emphasizing the gravity of his actions.
Kartikeya then accuses Shiv of initially rejecting Parvati’s proposal for marriage, prompting Shiv to recall his reluctance following Shakti’s demise. Parvati interjects, reminding Kartikeya of his need to win over Devsena’s affections, despite her reluctance to marry him. Kartikeya remains adamant, citing his prowess in defeating the entire asura clan as evidence of his capabilities. However, Parvati cautions him against relying solely on arrogance to win a woman’s heart.
Frustrated, Kartikeya storms off, attributing his behavior to the astrological phenomenon of Shani’s malefic influence. Shiv attributes it to the rebellious phase often experienced by youth, where the truth is difficult to accept.
Later, Kartikeya encounters Devsena praying before the Shivling, momentarily lifting his spirits. Meanwhile, Nandi and others perform the aarti ceremony for Shiv and Parvati. However, Devsena’s displeasure towards Kartikeya remains evident. Despite his attempts to woo her, Devsena remains steadfast in her refusal, even summoning guards to punish Kartikeya when he persists. Eventually, Devsena calls off the punishment, halting the altercation.
