Despite Sugreev’s plea, Bali, brimming with bravado, ventures into the cave to confront Mayavi, leaving Sugreev with the solemn task of safeguarding Kishkindha should he not return. For a year, Sugreev vigilantly awaits outside the cave until one day blood seeps out, leading him to believe Bali perished. Overwhelmed with grief, Sugreev takes charge of Kishkindha and delivers the somber news to Bali’s family.
However, it is revealed that Bali survives, dispelling the illusion created by Mayavi’s blood. Misunderstandings arise, leading Bali to mistakenly take Roma as his wife, causing Sugreev to seek refuge on a mountain where Bali cannot tread. Ram and Laxman condemn Bali’s actions, asserting he deserves punishment. Sugreev, torn by his loyalty to Bali and his allegiance to Ram, grapples with the dilemma of confronting him.
Amidst this turmoil, Jambvanth questions the feasibility of collaboration between Ram and Sugreev, while Angad brings ominous tidings to Bali’s household, warning them of the impending danger posed by Ram and Laxman. Unperturbed, Bali dismisses the threat, confident in his own strength.
