Kusum asserts, “Adit is my son. How can I endure his disrespect?” She adds, “I respect Lakshmi’s family, but she shouldn’t interfere in our family matters. I’ve given you considerable freedom, understanding your bond with your sister. However, I maintain my boundaries. I won’t tolerate this behavior from Lakshmi again. Today, she nearly sabotaged her sister’s marriage. This cannot happen again.” With that, she leaves, despite Mangal’s attempt to interject.
Lakshmi apologizes, acknowledging her role in upsetting everyone. Mangal reproaches her, reminding her that she’s been warned about her intrusive investigations. Adit may be hot-tempered, but he’s not deceitful. Mangal expresses her distress at being perceived as a woman who doubts her husband, falling from her mother’s esteem. Lakshmi offers water, expressing remorse, and Mangal breaks into tears. Lakshmi vows never to doubt again, seeking forgiveness, to which Mangal mentions the affection Amma has shown her. Mangal informs Lakshmi about the imminent arrival of the groom’s family, dismissing the idea of involving Amma and insisting on handling matters herself.

In a separate encounter, Nitin confronts Lakshmi, forcibly taking a selfie with her against her will, leading her to threaten police intervention.
