The episode starts with Kesar seeing Shakuntala crying while working in the kitchen. She asks her why she’s crying. Shakuntala says she’s getting what she deserves because of her past actions and no one helps her even though more people are coming to eat. Kesar offers to cook, and Shakuntala tells her to make chutney because otherwise, the food won’t taste good. Kabir arrives and asks why Shakuntala told Kesar to cook. Shakuntala says Kesar is staying here as a guest. Kesar agrees to cook, and Kabir offers to help. Shakuntala remembers that Kabir didn’t help her in the past when cooking. Despite that, Kabir and Kesar start making food.
Ambika says she’ll get Suraj’s murderer punished. Hetal doubts the lawyer’s abilities and gives Ambika a list of better lawyers.
Aarti, Janardhan, and Shakuntala enjoy the food. Aarti praises Kesar’s cooking skills. Babu ji calls Kabir home, but Kabir insists he won’t come until Kesar is called too because she sacrificed for the family. Kabir checks Suraj’s room for evidence and finds a hair sample. Hetal panics but manages to hide the evidence. Kabir goes to Ambika and tries to convince her to eat, but she refuses. He reminds her of their past closeness and promises to fill the void left by Suraj. He asks her to eat and leaves.
At the lab, the doctor says the report will take two days, and without legal permission, it can’t be used in court. Kabir asks him to tell the truth regardless.
