Jhanak 20th January 2024 Written Episode, Written Update on Telly Updates
The episode begins with Appu asking for chocolate. Anirudh admits that he forgot to give it but quickly presents it to Appu and Jhanak. Jhanak, however, declines the chocolate, stating that she doesn’t like them. Anirudh insists that Appu gives it to Jhanak, but she questions why he got it for her. Anirudh responds that it was extra, to which Jhanak retorts, feeling like she is an extra presence in the house. She asks him to take it back, warning that Appu will get a stomach ache if she eats two chocolates. Anirudh expresses frustration, accusing Jhanak of constantly humiliating him and testing his patience. Jhanak suggests letting her leave, and Appu intervenes, reminding them that Anirudh loves Jhanak.
Ignoring the tension, Appu shares a dream she had, but Jhanak dismisses it as baseless and urges Appu not to mention it to anyone. Appu narrates how she dreamt of Anirudh getting married, and when she lifted the ghunghat, she saw Jhanak as the bride. Anirudh and Jhanak exchange glances. Despite Jhanak’s reluctance, Appu insists on telling Anirudh about her dream, revealing that she also dreamt of Anirudh and Jhanak taking the seven wedding vows. Anirudh recalls their actual wedding ceremony, and Appu mentions Anirudh applying sindoor to Jhanak. Anirudh, intrigued, tells Appu to inform him later and offers to get Jhanak to his room for a signature. Appu brings Jhanak to Anirudh’s room, requesting her to sign on a paper and show her handwriting. Anirudh urges Jhanak to sign, but she adamantly refuses.
An argument ensues between Anirudh and Jhanak, with Appu believing that Anirudh will handle everything. Anirudh pleads with Jhanak to sign the papers, informing her that he has already notified the office. Jhanak accuses him of trying to embarrass her, and Anirudh admits that he indeed wants to embarrass her. However, he emphasizes that it’s not a family function, and he wants her to perform for an office event. Jhanak questions why she should dance, as her mother never wanted her to. Anirudh insists that she should dance because he wants her to. Bipasha enters and taunts Jhanak, accusing Anirudh of always remembering her for work. Anirudh justifies his decision, and Appu defends Jhanak, claiming that Bipasha is jealous of her. Bipasha scolds Appu, and Anirudh confirms that there is a program in the office.
Jhanak explains that Appu is also performing in the same event, and she needs to take care of her. Anirudh reveals the papers for Jhanak to sign, and Bipasha questions Jhanak’s presence. Jhanak justifies her being there, and Anirudh commends her for her skills in handling the work. Appu jokes about Bipasha’s jealousy, and Anirudh asks Appu to finish her chocolate. Jhanak questions Anirudh’s authority to force her to sign, and he claims it’s by the right of humanity for bringing her there. Jhanak refuses, and Appu intervenes, urging Jhanak to sign. Bipasha continues to taunt Jhanak, and Anirudh reveals that he has called her for an important work. Appu comments on Bipasha’s jealousy, leading to an argument. Anirudh convinces Jhanak to sign, and Bipasha leaves. Anirudh thinks about doing anything to secure Jhanak’s future.
Later, Arshi returns home, mentioning that she was rehearsing for Anirudh’s office event. Tanuja asks Arshi to select jewelry for the party and mentions being excited about her performance with her mother. Bipasha inquires about the new face being introduced in the event and expresses concern that Appu might mention Jhanak’s name in that category. Arshi dismisses the possibility, stating that if Jhanak performs on the stage, she won’t participate.
