Nirmala warns Surya not to touch her or her daughter, asking if he was home when Malti got attacked. Surya admits he was there. Nirmala decides to take Malti away, feeling she’s not safe. Meanwhile, Imlie tries to bandage her injured hand, but Daadi ignores her. Imlie goes to get something from another room, and Surya begs Nirmala not to take Malti away, promising to protect her. Nirmala slaps him, not believing his promises. Imlie overhears their conversation.
Binni receives a call from her boyfriend threatening to reveal her secrets if she doesn’t pay him. Surya recalls the attack on Malti and assumes it was meant for Imlie. He confronts Imlie in front of the family, blaming her for the attack. The Chaudhrys support Surya, accusing Imlie of causing trouble. Surya kicks Imlie out of the house.
Imlie sits outside in the rain. Malti wakes up and learns about Imlie. She tells Surya that Imlie actually saved her from the attackers. Surya feels guilty and rushes to find Imlie. He saves her from an oncoming truck and brings her back home, where he tends to her injuries.
Meanwhile, Binni sees Surya and Imlie together. In her delirium, Imlie imagines Surya as Agastya and expresses her feelings for him. Binni tells Daadi that Imlie trapped Agastya before and is now doing the same with Surya. Surya clarifies the situation to Imlie, urging her to reveal the truth about Raghu if she wants his trust.
