Daadi tells Surya to change his clothes after spilling juice on them. Surya doesn’t have any ethnic clothes, so he asks if he can wear Agastya’s. Daadi agrees. Amrit shows Sonali and Amar’s photos on a projector and asks Sonali to come back to him. Sonali refuses and says she feels suffocated with him. She goes back to Amar. Surya walks in front of Imlie wearing Agastya’s clothes. Imlie drops juice glasses in shock and says he can’t be her babu. Surya tells her to be quiet and claims he’s her love. She tries to slap him, but he stops her and asks if she’s angry because he’s marrying someone else.
Rajni mistakes Surya for Agastya. Govind corrects her. Sonali remembers how Surya used to carry Shivani in childhood. She runs away crying. Govind tells him that he reminded them of Gattu. Imlie asks Surya if he thinks he can take babu’s place by wearing his clothes. She describes Agastya’s role in the family and how he can never be replaced.
Surya insists that she can protect his family if she accepts the truth. Imlie asks why he’s stuck at one place. Binni walks on stage. Shivani says the bride came. Daadi calls Agastya to exchange rings with Binni. Lights go dim. Amrit plays Sonali and Amar’s photos on a projector and accuses her of having an affair with Amar. Villagers start gossiping about Sonali.
Nirmala questions Daadi’s morals and asks why Surya brought her to a house full of lies. Sonali runs to her room crying. Agastya accuses Imlie of playing drama to divert his attention. Imlie says she’s not a coward like him.
Sonali cries in her room. Amrit requests her to return home with him. Sonali refuses and he forcefully tries to take her. Amar interferes and they start fighting. Sonali asks them to stop. Imlie confronts Amrit with incriminating photos of others, questioning his accusations against Sonali.
