The story begins with Hanuman talking to everyone and saying nice things about Ram. Sugreev worries because Bali is very strong, and he wonders how Ram and Laxman will face him. Laxman arrives and asks Sugreev why he doubts Ram’s abilities. He reminds Sugreev that Ram is his friend and he should trust him. Sugreev is scared of Bali hurting him and his loved ones. Laxman reassures him that everything will be okay. Ram arrives and says it’s his duty to clear Sugreev’s doubts. He encourages Sugreev to ask anything he wants to know. Sugreev tells them about Bali’s fight with a monster named Dhund and how Bali won. He shows them the skeleton of Dhund as proof. Hanuman advises Sugreev to trust Ram to solve his problems.
Meanwhile, Vibhishan expresses regret for Raavan’s wrongdoing, admitting that Raavan saw someone else’s wife and did unjust things. Sita questions why Vibhishan didn’t stop Raavan. Vibhishan explains that he is bound by duty to guide Raavan towards righteousness, even though he knows Raavan is wrong. Sita tells him that true righteousness reflects in actions, like Ram’s behavior, and forgives him but questions if his principles will forgive him. Meghnad enters and talks with Mandodari. She worries about the destruction of Lanka, as Raavan has destroyed his sources of knowledge, symbolizing impending darkness. Meghnad assures her that Raavan will protect Lanka from suffering.
Back with Sugreev, he is amazed that the skeleton hasn’t decomposed, thinking it’s some kind of magic. Ram touches the skeleton, and it disappears into the sky, astonishing everyone. Hanuman asks Sugreev if his doubts are cleared now. Ram notices Sugreev’s lingering worry and encourages him to speak up. Sugreev admits he still doubts because Bali is incredibly powerful. Ram responds by showing his strength by shooting an arrow that knocks down seven trees. Ram tells Sugreev that fear is a bad habit and encourages him to face Bali without fear. Sugreev apologizes, and Ram decides that Sugreev will challenge Bali for a fight the next day.
