The episode commences with Shabari eagerly awaiting Ram’s arrival. As Ram and Laxman approach her hut, Ram acknowledges Shabari’s significance, stating that Mata Shabari will guide them. Upon reaching her hut, Shabari is filled with joy upon seeing Ram in his Vishnu avatar. She expresses her anticipation of his arrival, her tears of happiness falling upon his feet. Ram, recognizing her maternal affection, seeks her blessings, to which she happily obliges.
Meanwhile, Raavan prepares himself with great enthusiasm, adorned in the finest attire, eager to claim Sita as his own. Despite the efforts of the maids to beautify him for what he deems the pinnacle of his life, Raavan remains focused on his desire for revenge and the promised reward. As he eyes the jewelry intended for Sita, she steadfastly refuses to comply with his wishes, declaring that her love for Ram is her only adornment, engaging in a heated exchange with the Asur ladies.
Raavan impatiently awaits Sita at the mandap, directing his anger at his minister for her delay. Shurpnakha reassures him of Sita’s imminent arrival, having dispatched the Asurs to fetch her. However, Trijata and Ekjata return with burnt hands, recounting their attempt to forcefully bring Sita to the mandap, only to be thwarted by her chanting of Ram’s name, causing their hands to burn upon touching her. Enraged by their actions, Raavan admonishes them for disrespecting his future queen, vowing to retrieve Sita himself, viewing it as his duty and righteous act.
Mandodari and Vibhishan caution Raavan against his actions, but he dismisses their concerns, boasting of his prowess and declaring Sita as his destined prize. Determined, he proceeds towards Sita.
Meanwhile, in Shabari’s humble abode, Ram graciously accepts her offer of rest and admires the Rangoli, symbolizing his devotion. Moved by her gesture, Shabari tearfully shares her background with Ram, questioning her ability to host a king. Ram, in his characteristic compassion, reassures her and encourages her to feed him the berries she has carefully selected, symbolizing her love and devotion. As she hesitates, Ram eloquently explains the depth of a mother’s love, likening her actions to a mother’s willingness to taste even poison for her child’s sake. Overcome with emotion, Shabari feeds Ram the berries, bringing joy to both him and Laxman.
