Scene 1:

Sinha urges the judge to ensure justice for Madhu. Neeti, determined not to let Pari absolve Sanju of his alleged actions, watches intently. Sinha addresses the judge, detailing how Sanju, despite Madhu’s marital status and her love for her husband, made unwelcome advances towards her. He recounts an incident at a party where Sanju, intoxicated, made advances towards Madhu, and when rejected, took her to a room. Sanju interjects, accusing Sinha of lying. Pari instructs her lawyer, Balli, to intervene, who admits to having little to add. Pari requests additional time to prepare their case, which the judge grants, giving them an hour.

Madhu alleges that Sanju then escorted her to her room, where he attempted to disrobe her and assaulted her. Balli challenges Madhu’s account, suggesting her invitation to Sanju contradicts her claim of being coerced. Madhu maintains that she only invited Sanju to her room to ask him to leave, but he locked the door and assaulted her. Sinha argues that Sanju’s strength and inebriation enabled him to overpower Madhu. Sanju denies the accusations. Meanwhile, Pari attempts to contact Jhanki, whose phone remains switched off, leading Neeti to doubt her loyalty.
