Scene 1
Rimjhim, adamant and resolute, confronts her family, urging them not to support Shakti any longer. In her eyes, Shakti is shielding a murderer. Despite Chacha’s attempts to intervene, Rimjhim refuses to remain silent. She asserts that Shakti isn’t their flesh and blood, and her spouse is a killer. The sudden arrival of an inspector interrupts their heated exchange. Manorama, quick on her feet, dismisses the altercation as mere sibling squabbles. The inspector, however, inquires about the peculiar blackened windows. Rimjhim, puzzled, questions this revelation. Manorama’s swift response involves a slap directed at Dharam, accusing him of neglecting the windows and covering them with black paint to evade responsibility. Satisfied with Manorama’s explanation, the inspector departs. Manorama seizes the opportunity to whisk Rimjhim away, leaving Koyal behind. Dharam, albeit reluctantly, holds Koyal back, suggesting they find solace elsewhere.
Meanwhile, the inspector contacts Mandira, reporting Shiv’s absence at Manorama’s residence. Undeterred, Mandira insists they search the premises again, convinced Shiv is being harbored there.
Back inside the house, Manorama admonishes Rimjhim for her theatrics. Rimjhim counters, accusing Shakti of leading them down a path of criminality, one that could inevitably lead to their incarceration because of Shiv. Manorama, her patience wearing thin, questions Rimjhim’s presence after severing ties with them, reminding her of the declaration that Mandira is her true mother. Defiant, Rimjhim declares her intention to stay put, refusing to relinquish her claim to the house. Chacha, attempting to defuse the tension, implores Rimjhim to depart. Hurt by their sudden animosity, Rimjhim expresses disbelief at being treated like an adversary.
Meanwhile, Dharam brushes off Koyal’s concern regarding his wounded hand, dismissing it as inconsequential.
Scene 2
Manorama forcibly ejects Rimjhim from the room, inadvertently tearing her saree in the process. Bewildered by the unexpected tear, Rimjhim questions its origin. Their altercation is interrupted by the returning inspector. In a desperate attempt to salvage the situation, Manorama resorts to violence, striking Rimjhim and demanding her departure. The inspector intervenes, offering Rimjhim the option of pressing charges against Manorama. Overwhelmed, Manorama laments the turn of events, regretting the day she welcomed Rimjhim into their home. Sensing the gravity of the situation, Rimjhim implores the inspector not to arrest her mother. Chacha, appealing to the inspector’s empathy, pleads for privacy as they mourn Gayatri’s death, thereby persuading him to leave.
Meanwhile, Dharam’s attempts at flirtation with Koyal are abruptly halted by Chacha, who seals off all possible exits.
As tensions simmer, Shakti emerges with Shiv, shocking Rimjhim with his unexpected presence. Manorama implores Rimjhim’s silence, cautioning her against alerting the authorities. Rimjhim threatens to call the police, but Manorama intercepts her. Shakti, focusing on Shiv’s well-being, attempts to revive him. As the others retreat, Shakti administers CPR, beseeching Shiv to awaken and exonerate himself from the label of a murderer. Upon regaining consciousness, Shiv is greeted by Shakti’s relieved smile. She embraces him, declaring her unwavering devotion and vowing to protect him at all costs. Overwhelmed by memories of Gayatri’s demise, Shiv utters a tearful plea, invoking his mother’s name. Shakti, moved by his pain, sheds tears of her own.
