The episode kicks off with everyone immersed in the festivities of Holi. Kesar notices Rukmani looking gloomy amidst the celebrations and approaches her to offer comfort. Advising her to stop reminiscing about her maternal home, Kesar urges Rukmani to immerse herself in the spirit of Sasural and join the Holi revelry. Meanwhile, Rachna mentions that the colored powders for the celebrations are kept in the temple.
Taking a moment to pray, Sumedh and Rukmani find themselves unexpectedly drenched in colors as they stand in the temple courtyard. The traditional song “Kesariya…” sets the tone as Kesar interprets this as a divine blessing, emphasizing the strength of their bond.
As the festivities continue, Shivani distributes thandai to everyone, including Rukmani who initially declines. However, Shivani persuades her, and Rukmani eventually relents and consumes the special bhaang-infused thandai. Unbeknownst to her, Shivani has mischievous intentions, anticipating Rukmani’s altered state to provoke conflict between her and Kesar.
In a surprising turn of events, Kesar announces Rukmani’s participation in the Holi celebrations. Despite initial shock, Rukmani enthusiastically joins the merriment, playing the dhol and dancing with Sumedh, much to everyone’s amazement.
However, Jamkudi’s discovery of Rukmani’s intoxication dampens the mood as she gleefully reveals the truth, causing Rukmani to abruptly stop dancing and launch into a lecture. Amidst the chaos, Kesar decides it’s time to leave and instructs Sumedh to take Rukmani home.
Outside, Jamkudi mocks Rukmani’s behavior, labeling her as a drunkard, which deeply hurts Rukmani. Sumedh defends his wife and clarifies that Rukmani unknowingly consumed bhaang, leading to her altered behavior.
Back home, Sumedh takes Rukmani under the shower to sober her up. Tenderly wiping her hair and face, he comforts her, offering her tea to help alleviate the effects of the bhaang. As Rukmani drinks the tea, she coughs, finding it bitter, but Sumedh reassures her that it will taste sweet once the bhaang wears off.
Meanwhile, Kesar, eager to unravel the truth behind Rukmani’s unusual behavior, sits down to talk with her privately. Seeking honesty, Kesar questions Rukmani’s peculiar actions, prompting Rukmani to ponder her response before finally stating, “The truth is…”
