Scene 1
Kaurwaki is leaving Magadh with Udit. She tells him she feels sad to leave because she found a family here. Dharma was like a mother, Anandi was a sister, and Devi was her best friend. But she had to leave because of Ashok.
Ashok tells Dharma that this chapter has ended so there’s no need to be sad. Dharma questions if Ashok feels any regret for leaving his wife. Subhandhu arrives and informs them that Bindusar is missing since last night. Dharma is shocked. Subhandhu explains they’re searching all houses. Ashok is furious, questioning why he’s being told just now. Subhandhu dismisses Ashok, saying he has no right to know about the king’s activities. Ashok leaves angrily. Dharma expresses concern that their house is burnt, yet they’re searching for Bindusar. Subhandhu leaves. Devi consoles Dharma, assuring her that Bindusar will be alright. Ashok sets off to find him.
Ashok searches for Bindusar in the jungle with his friends.
The hypnotizer is leading Bindusar through the jungle when he falls. Bindusar snaps out of his trance and realizes what’s happening. Sushim and his soldiers are also searching the jungle. The hypnotizer attacks Bindusar, causing him to faint. They find Kaurwaki leaving with Udit and are surprised. Kaurwaki recognizes the hypnotizer and questions their presence. The hypnotizer reveals they’ve kidnapped Bindusar as revenge for Ashok’s actions. Kaurwaki tries to reason with them, but they refuse to listen. She decides to save Bindusar and pretends to cooperate. When the hypnotizer leaves, she starts freeing Bindusar. However, they’re interrupted, and a fight breaks out. Kaurwaki and Udit assist Bindusar.
Scene 2
Ashok questions soldiers about Bindusar’s whereabouts. Sushim tells Helena they can’t let Ashok find Bindusar.
Ashok tells his friend they must find Bindusar quickly, suspecting they might be taking him to Kaling.
Bindusar fights the goons. Kaurwaki saves him from an attack but one goon injures Bindusar. He faints.
In the palace, Helena calls a meeting. Kaurwaki arrives with an injured Bindusar. She explains how she found him in the jungle. Subhandhu doubts her story, suspecting her involvement with the attackers. Kaurwaki insists she only saved Bindusar’s life. Devi confronts Kaurwaki, accusing her of lying and questioning her intentions. Kaurwaki denies lying but Devi remains skeptical, suggesting Kaurwaki’s feelings for Ashok might be conflicting. Kaurwaki is shocked by Devi’s words.
