Imlie tells Amrith that he tried hard to make Sonali look bad, but she didn’t have to work hard to prove him wrong. She asks the ladies who had spoken badly about Sonali to apologize to her. Nirmala shouts at Imlie for speaking too much and insulting them. Surya supports Imlie, saying they unfairly judged Sonali based on just two pictures without questioning Amrith. He gives a speech about respecting women’s dignity and supporting victims instead of culprits. Amrith calls Surya a fake brother-in-law and warns him to stay out of it. Surya, however, asserts that he will always protect his sister Sonali.
Amrith tries to talk to Sonali, but Imlie warns him to stay away. Amrith threatens to end Imlie’s life as she ruined his, and he tries to attack her with a broken bottle. Surya intervenes and warns Amrith to stay away from Imlie. Amrith mentions Agastya’s demise and tells Surya to leave the Chauhdry family and Imlie alone. He then tries to reveal a secret about Binni’s baby, but Imlie stops him by pointing a broken glass at his throat and tells him to leave. Surya supports Imlie, and they both force Amrith to leave. Imlie asks the guests to leave too.
Daadi decides to postpone the engagement to the next day, considering the day’s events inauspicious. Nirmala expresses her curiosity about the secret Amrith was trying to reveal, but Imlie dismisses it as his lies. Later, Imlie and Surya banter with each other. Sonali thanks them for their help, but Imlie brushes off Surya’s assistance. Sonali appreciates Imlie’s support and tells her that if she starts counting Imlie’s favors, it would take all night. After she leaves, Imlie and Surya resume their playful arguing.
Surya announces to the family that he wants to marry Binni the next day. Daadi approves, and the family begins preparations. Meanwhile, Binni confronts Imlie, questioning why she protected her from Amrith when she wanted Binni to reveal the truth earlier. Imlie explains that she didn’t want Binni to face humiliation, as people are quick to judge and criticize. Binni reveals that Monty, not Imlie, killed Raghu, and she urges Imlie to tell Surya the truth immediately.
