Romila says the marriage can’t happen because Isha is the daughter of Khanna, the post office watchman, and she doesn’t want a watchman’s daughter as her daughter-in-law. Kashvi argues that both Monty and Isha are educated and capable, and her father’s job shouldn’t matter. Jagdish supports Isha, saying she has good values, and suggests they proceed with the Roka ceremony. Keval agrees with him. Kashvi decides that the Roka will happen that night and asks for bangles. Romila explains she doesn’t have any jewelry left as she gave it to Keval’s business. Kashvi offers to bring her bangles from home, and Monty thanks her.
After everyone leaves, Romila questions Keval why he didn’t support her, fearing Isha will become their daughter-in-law. Keval reminds her of their financial situation and that they’re staying in their in-law’s house. Romila is upset, thinking she would have enjoyed wealth with Monty’s rich wife.
Kashvi goes to Adi’s house looking for Sushma to give her bangles for the Roka. Sushma isn’t there, so she calls Adi, who instructs her to open the locker to retrieve the bangles. While doing so, clothes fall, revealing a mask that triggers Karun’s aggression. Kashvi calms him down and throws the mask away, asking if he’s seen it before. Adi and Sushma arrive, and Kashvi explains. Adi checks outside but doesn’t find the mask. Kashvi questions Sushma, who says it was from a birthday party. Kashvi leaves, planning to make food for the Roka and the Bajwa house.
At the Roka, Kashvi presents bangles and a chunari for Isha, promising to make everyone’s favorite dishes. Mahima plans to insult Kashvi. Adi advises her not to overwork, and Kashvi thanks him for being a good friend. Arjun watches, realizing Kashvi has moved on.
Later, Arjun and Karun help Kashvi in the kitchen. Arjun cuts onions, but his eyes water. Kashvi helps him, and he imagines kissing her. He cuts his finger, and Kashvi tends to his wound, asking him not to cut onions anymore.
